The main sitting room is light and spacious overlooking the hustle and bustle of the towns old market square. The kitchen/dining room is open plan with all cooking utensils at hand if fancy a home from home meal. There is a good sized double bedroom with king size bed along with a modern shower room.

• Tar Barrels
  (November 5th): A centuries-old tradition where residents carry flaming barrels on their backs, believed to have origins in cleansing the town of evil spirits.

• Literary & Harry Potter Connections:
  Birthplace of romantic poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge (1772). JK Rowling is believed to have based the Weasley family home (Ottery St Catchpole) on the town.

• St Mary’s Church:
  A stunning 14th-century church modeled after Exeter Cathedral, featuring a 14th-century astronomical clock and a medieval minstrels' gallery.

• Pixie Day
  (June): An annual, quirky reenactment where local children dress as pixies and banish the bell ringers, celebrating a local legend.

• Historical Features:
  Known for the Cadhay House, the Tumbling Weir, and a rare Japanese Bell gifted by their sister town, Otar
